    Product Description

Please note: JetPak cards require a laminating pouch to create a fully finished ID card. For this JetPak, we recommend pouch F87-73HSDWP.

You use PVC cards because, well, you’ve always used PVC cards.

It’s time to kick the habit!

JetPak™ ID cards from IDenticard™ perform the same functions (i.e. identify people) as PVC cards, but are more durable, less susceptible to fading and require a less expensive printer for customization.

    Why not switch?

JetPak: it’s all about the material

While JetPak and PVC cards perform the same basic function, there’s obviously a pretty big difference between the two. After all, if they were the same, why would we tell you to switch?

That big difference is the material each type is made of. PVC cards are (clearly) made of PVC, while JetPak cards are made of a synthetic paper material. This synthetic paper is microporous, enabling the cardstock to absorb the liquid ink used by inkjet printers.

JetPak cards ship in sheets similar to a sheet of office paper. Each sheet contains two single-core JetPak cards. Ordering a quantity of 100 cards (the minimum order quantity) will get you 50 sheets.

That’s right: you can create a professional, custom ID card using an inkjet printer.

This JetPak insert will create a single-core, data collection-sized (3.25” 2.313”) ID card, complete with a horizontal slot and built-in IDentiGuard holographic security foil.

What is the difference between single-core and dual-core?

You'll see our JetPaks described as "single-core" and "dual-core." These "cores" don't refer to sides, but rather to the thickness of the card itself.

    • Single-core JetPak cards are made of a single layer of synthetic paper material. When combined with a 7/3 laminating pouch, the finished card will be 30 mils thick. We recommend these cards for customers that only want factory printing on one side of the card, with variable data printed on the other.
    • Dual-core JetPak cards are made of two layers of synthetic paper material. When combined with a 5/2 laminating pouch, the finished card will be 34 mils thick. The template for these cards can be configured to allow you to print both sides of the card in a single pass, saving time.

    Two parts, one solid solution

A JetPak ID card is made up of two parts: the JetPak insert (this product) and a laminating pouch.

First, print your ID card using your inkjet printer. Next, insert the JetPak into the appropriate laminating pouch and run it through a laminating machine.

The result? A professional, durable credential.

IDentiGuard and more: JetPak is a secure ID card

Law enforcement and government agencies across the country have turned to JetPak when looking for a secure ID solution, and with good reason: we can embed nearly a dozen different security features onto a single JetPak Card.

Text that is so small it can barely be seen? Got it. Ultraviolet printing? Yup. Along with many more that we don’t want to disclose here…

This JetPak insert comes with IDentiGuard, our holographic foil stamping. IDentiGuard is a small area of holographic print that reflects the light when moved back and forth. This reflective property can’t be duplicated by a standard printer or copier, making IDentiGuard cards extremely difficult to counterfeit.

Custom IDentiGuard stamps are available as well, allowing us to print a holographic foil stamp in the shape of your logo.

We can do the printing for you

Need custom ID cards, but don’t want to do all the printing? We can print JetPak inserts for you, leaving just the user’s photo, name and other variable data to be printed on-site.

We’ll print your colors, your logo, your text and anything else you may need, leaving just a small amount of printing to be done at your facility. Please contact us if you’re interested in custom JetPak cards.
