Whether you’re starting an ID card program from scratch or simply looking for an alternative to PVC ID cards, JetPak™ cards are a great solution.

JetPak cards are more durable, more secure and longer-lasting than standard PVC cards.

Made of a synthetic paper material, JetPak ID cards can be customized using a standard inkjet printer. We recommend Epson® inkjet printers with DURABrite® inks, as we’ve found that they consistently produce high-quality results.

The synthetic paper material is what makes JetPak cards so unique: the microporous nature is what allows the cardstock to absorb the ink, and it’s also what makes the cards so durable.

JetPak cards are a two-part solution: this insert, and a separate laminating pouch. Cards are created by printing this insert with your inkjet printer, popping it out of the pre-cut sheet, placing it in a laminating pouch and passing it through a laminating machine.

JetPak cards ship in sheets similar to a sheet of office paper. Each sheet contains two single-coreJetPak cards. Ordering a quantity of 100 cards (the minimum order quantity) will get you 50 sheets.

This JetPak insert is single-core, and measures 2.13” x 3.38” (standard credit card size). This insert doesn’t have a slot, allowing you to use it for both horizontal and vertical ID cards.

What is the difference between single-core and dual-core?

You'll see our JetPaks described as "single-core" and "dual-core." These "cores" don't refer to sides, but rather to the thickness of the card itself.

• Single-core JetPak cards are made of a single layer of synthetic paper material. When combined with a 7/3 laminating pouch, the finished card will be 30 mils thick. We recommend these cards for customers that only want factory printing on one side of the card, with variable data printed on the other.
• Dual-core JetPak cards are made of two layers of synthetic paper material. When combined with a 5/2 laminating pouch, the finished card will be 34 mils thick. The template for these cards can be configured to allow you to print both sides of the card in a single pass, saving time.

JetPak: A more secure ID card

One of the hallmarks of our JetPak cards is their wealth of security features. We’re able to include up to a dozen security features on our JetPak cards, from text that’s nearly too small to be read by the naked eye to print that only appears under certain types of light.

This insert includes one of those security features: IDentiGuard. IDentiGuard is a holographic foil stamp applied to your ID card. This foil reflects light when moved back and forth, providing, fast, visual verification of a card’s authenticity.

This foil’s reflective properties prevent the card from being duplicated by a scanner or copier, making counterfeiting extremely difficult.

This IDentiGuard foil comes in a standard shape; however, we’re able to create custom-shaped foils, including IDentiGuard foils in the shape of your logo!
