    Product Description

Note: JetPak cards require a laminating pouch to create a fully finished card. For this product, you must use our BackPak-sized laminating pouch F83-32VSTPBP.

This card may be small, but it provides all of the identification you need!

Known as a BackPak-sized card, this JetPak™ card measures 2.06” x 3.31”. Made of a durable synthetic paper material, this JetPak can be customized using a standard inkjet printer.

We recommend using an Epson® printer with DURABrite inks, as they’ve been shown to consistently produce high-quality imagery.

    Why JetPak?

JetPak cards are more durable, less susceptible to fading and less susceptible to cracking than standard PVC cards. Add in the fact that they’re available in a variety of sizes (like this BackPak size!) and can be customized using a standard inkjet printer instead of a pricey plastic ID card printer, and it’s clear that JetPak is a great ID card solution.

This JetPak BackPak card features a vertical slot, meaning it’s meant to be used with vertical ID card designs only.

This card is known as a BackPak card because it’s meant to piggyback on an existing solution. For example, an organization issues blank proximity cards to all employees for access, but wants to add ID as well.

Instead of issuing brand new, custom-printed proximity cards to all employees, which would require the purchase of a dedicated PVC ID card printer, the organization can create BackPak cards for all employees to adhere to their proximity card.

All of a sudden, they’ve gone from an access-only solution to an access and ID solution!

What is the difference between single-core and dual-core?

You'll see our JetPaks described as "single-core" and "dual-core." These "cores" don't refer to sides, but rather to the thickness of the card itself.

    • Single-core JetPak cards are made of a single layer of synthetic paper material. When combined with a 7/3 laminating pouch, the finished card will be 30 mils thick. We recommend these cards for customers that only want factory printing on one side of the card, with variable data printed on the other.
    • Dual-core JetPak cards are made of two layers of synthetic paper material. When combined with a 5/2 laminating pouch, the finished card will be 34 mils thick. The template for these cards can be configured to allow you to print both sides of the card in a single pass, saving time.

    How does JetPak work?

JetPak is a two-part ID card solution: this JetPak insert and the associated laminating pouch.

First, print the ID card using your inkjet printer. Next, pop the cardstock out of the sheet of pre-cut synthetic paper. Put that insert into the laminating pouch and run the pouch through a laminating machine to create your fully finished card!

As this insert is meant to be used with the aforementioned F83-32VSTPBP laminating pouch, which features an adhesive back, the last step would be to stick this finished BackPak card onto your existing credential!

Let us make them for you!

Interested in custom-printed cards? We can create unique BackPak cards for you, including the printing of your logo, colors, text and more. We’ll send you these pre-printed cards, leaving nothing but the variable data, like a user photo or employee title, to be printed on-site. This will save you time and ink! Please contact us if you’re interested in custom JetPak cards.
